Professor Simon R. Blackburn

I'm a mathematician interested in combinatorics, cryptography, group theory and the connections between these subjects. (So I'm not a philosopher: if you are looking for Simon Blackburn the philosopher, try here!)

I organised a one-day meeting on Private Information Retrieval, Distributed Storage and Network Coding on Friday 8th July 2016. For information on this meeting, please follow this link.

I was one of the local organisers for the 24th British Combinatorial Conference, which took place at Royal Holloway from Sunday 30th June to Friday 5th July 2013. Follow this link for the conference web page.

If you are here because you're interested in the recent coverage of the mathematics of parking, please follow this link. If you're interested in The One Show 29th February 2012 feature on leap year probabilities, see this link.

My contact information is below. If you're interested in my research, or you'd like to know what PhD projects I'm currently offering, please follow one of the links at the bottom of this page.
